TheLairMC Terms of Service

Welcome to TheLairMC! By accessing, playing on, or using any associated services provided by TheLairMC, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("TOS"). These terms apply to all users, including players, staff, and visitors. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our server and related platforms immediately. 

1. Acceptance of Terms 

By joining and participating in TheLairMC, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these TOS, as well as all other rules and policies set forth by the server administration. These terms apply to all aspects of the server, including but not limited to in-game interactions, Discord channels, forums, and other related services. 

2. Modifications to the Terms 

TheLairMC reserves the right to update or modify these TOS at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of our services after modifications are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. 

3. Server Rules & Enforcement 

All users must follow the server rules, which can be found both in game and on discord. Violations of these rules may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to: 

● Warnings 

● Temporary suspensions 

● Permanent bans 

● Loss of in-game privileges or purchased perks

All enforcement actions are at the discretion of the server staff, and their decisions are final. If you believe a decision was made unfairly, you may submit an appeal by creating a ticket on the discord server. 

4. Purchases, Donations & Refund Policy 

TheLairMC may offer in-game purchases, donor perks, or rank upgrades. By making a payment, you acknowledge and agree to the following: 

● All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. ● Chargebacks, disputes, or fraudulent transactions will result in account penalties, including permanent bans. 

● Any purchased items, ranks, or perks are subject to change at the discretion of the server administration, and their availability is not guaranteed indefinitely. 

● TheLairMC does not guarantee uninterrupted access to donor perks or items in the event of technical issues, resets, or server shutdowns.

5. Player Conduct & Community Guidelines 

To maintain a positive and enjoyable experience for all players, the following conduct is strictly prohibited: 

● Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or threats against any player or staff member. 

● Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized modifications to gain an unfair advantage. 

● Griefing, stealing, or intentionally disrupting another player’s experience in violation of server rules. 

● Advertising other Minecraft servers, personal projects, or external services without explicit staff approval. 

● Spamming, excessive use of caps, or disruptive behavior in chat that detracts from the gameplay experience. 

● Impersonating staff members or other players with the intent to mislead or deceive. ● Account security is the user’s responsibility. Claims of “being hacked” will not be accepted as an excuse for rule violations.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in penalties as determined by the moderation team. 

6. Staff Authority & Administrative Actions 

TheLairMC staff members are responsible for ensuring a fair and enjoyable environment for all players. By using our services, you agree to: 

● Follow all staff instructions and cooperate with moderation efforts. 

● Not argue with or harass staff members over disciplinary actions. 

● Not engage in actions intended to undermine server administration or incite rebellion against staff decisions. 

If you have concerns about a staff member’s behavior, please report it via thelairmcsupport@gmail.com  instead of engaging in public disputes. 

7. Use of Third-Party Services & Modifications 

● Any use of hacked clients, scripts, macros, or external programs that provide an unfair advantage is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by server rules. ● Mods that improve visual or performance aspects of gameplay (such as OptiFine or shaders) are generally allowed but must not alter gameplay mechanics unfairly. ● TheLairMC is not responsible for third-party services, Discord interactions, plugins, or external websites that users may access through our community. 

Use third-party tools at your own risk. If unsure about the legality of a mod, consult staff before using it. 

8. Privacy & Data Collection 

By using TheLairMC, you consent to the collection of non-personal gameplay data necessary for administrative and security purposes. This may include, but is not limited to: 

● IP addresses and connection logs for security monitoring. 

● Gameplay statistics and in-game interactions to detect rule violations. ● Transaction records for purchases made through the server’s store.

TheLairMC does not sell or share personal data with third parties. Any information collected is used solely for moderation, server security, and service improvements. 

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability 

● TheLairMC provides its services "as is" without warranties or guarantees regarding uptime, performance, or uninterrupted access. 

● The server is not responsible for lost items, progress resets, or technical malfunctions that may occur due to crashes, updates, or unforeseen circumstances. ● Users play at their own risk, and TheLairMC is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from gameplay. 

● The server reserves the right to discontinue services at any time without prior notice. 

By using our services, you acknowledge these disclaimers and agree to hold TheLairMC harmless from any claims arising from gameplay issues. 

10. Account Suspension & Termination 

TheLairMC reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any player at any time, with or without notice, for: 

● Repeated or severe violations of the rules or these TOS. 

● Threats, harassment, or disruptive behavior that compromises community safety. ● Engaging in illegal activities or violating Minecraft’s End User License Agreement (EULA). 

● Encouraging others to break rules or attempting to evade punishments. Decisions regarding account termination are final and at the discretion of server administration.
